A brick made from fly ash byproduct

- Henry Liu, retired professor in civil and environmental engineering: developed a brick made from a coal--fired power plant byproduct—fly ash—that takes less energy and costs less to manufacture than standard clay bricks. Liu's "green" brick has received recognition from such magazines as Time and Popular Science.
